@bigzabra500 I can’t say for sure, but that is not Apple’s style.
From my experience, or rather encounter with the Apple’s warranty/repair department, they would either provide you with a free apple care with the next Apple item you purchase, or send your iPod touch 2nd gen to another location with better technician meanwhile lending you a lower class iPod for your daily usage before they’ve solved the issues.

ok so i have a 2nd gen i touch and the headphone jack is messed up and its happened once before but this was before 4th gen came out so they just gave me a new 2nd gen one cuz they couldnt fix it. now will they give me a new 4th gen and take my 2nd gen even tho its older verision/no camera? and i know they wont be able to fix the problem its happened with a couple ipods they never fixed them
