Welcome to Digital Handhelds

Digital Cameras

Digital cameras are small, lightweight and portable, with better picture resolution than cell phone cameras. With removable memory cards that can be used in a number of digital handheld devices, the expense of buying film and paying for photo processing is a thing of the past.

MP3 Players

MP3 players and "iPod" are nearly synonymous for how to take your music with you, but we recommend taking time to explore some other options. There are some reasonably-priced MP3 players out there. OK, they might not be as cool or popular as the iPod - but check them out if cool isn't that important to you.

Like the digital cameras, some of these have a memory card slot, which makes it easier to share your music and pictures or expand the capacity.

GPS Devices

Driving has become so much easier since GPS devices became affordable! These fantastic devices map out your trip, report mileage, voice directions and can even warn of traffic jams.

Looking for the nearest bank? Your GPS can find it for you. Trying to find food? Your GPS can find it for you.

These devices make paper maps, wrong turns and stopping for directions a thing of the past.

Cell Phones and PDAs

The Apple iPhone is the hottest phone on the market - if you can really call it a phone, because "phone" is becoming a generic term for a digital handheld device that does so much more than make phone calls.

Along with the popular Blackberry, the iPhone is one of a family of smart phones and PDAs (personal digital assistants) that organize, surf the web, maintain contact information, e-mail and a host of other all-in-one necessities for busy, connected lives.
